15 Hours – 2 Year Olds Receiving Support

Some families may be eligible for 15 hours of funded early learning for their two-year-old if they are on a low income or receive certain benefits, including Universal Credit. Children may also qualify if they have an Education, Health and Care Plan, receive Disability Living Allowance, are looked after by the local authority, or have recently left care. Eligibility is confirmed by the local authority, and funding can usually be accessed from the term after a child turns two.

Universal 15 Hours – 3 and 4 Year Olds

All parents of 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to the 15 hours funding.

To apply for this funding, please contact us first. Our team at Parent Relations Team at Ashbourne Day Nurseries are here to help you navigate the application process and answer any questions you may have.

By taking advantage of this funding, you can provide your child with a strong educational foundation, setting them up for success in school and beyond.

30 Hours – 9 Months to 4 Years

30 hours funded childcare is available to eligible working families with children aged from 9 months to school age. To qualify, parents usually need to be in paid work and earning within the government’s income thresholds. Eligibility is checked through a government childcare account and must be reconfirmed regularly.

Tax Free Childcare

One way to save on costs is through the Tax-Free Childcare scheme, which can help you manage the expenses of quality early education.

Tax-Free Childcare is a government initiative that allows working parents to open an online childcare account, which the government will top up with 20p for every 80p you pay in. This effectively gives you basic rate tax back on your childcare costs. You can receive up to £2,000 per child per year, or £4,000 if your child has a disability.

To be eligible for Tax-Free Childcare, both parents (or the sole parent in a single-parent household) must be working and earning at least the minimum equivalent of 16 hours per week at the national living wage or minimum wage. Individual incomes must be less than £100,000 annually.

Our team is here to support you through the application process and answer any questions you might have.
